Sharp’s Tarps, Inc. began in December of 1978 offering tarp repair services for the local trucking companies. Sharp’s began operations out of a small 900 square
foot facility with one sewing machine and two employees. From the beginning, our main objectives were prompt customer service and quality workmanship. Over the years, this philosophy has allowed us to expand our business, not only in the diversification of our products and services, but also geographically.
Today, Sharp’s offers a wide range of products and services including the manufacture of truck covers, roll over tarp systems, industrial fabric products for government, military, and aerospace applications as well as warehouse and distribution house products. We also manufacture recreational products, swimming pool covers, awnings, canopies and environmental maintenance products. Our most recent addition to our product line is the expansion of our Boat Top and Cover line - now covering boats of many major boat dealerships in the Salt Lake City area as well as hundreds of satisfied boat owners. We offer years of craftsmanship experience in upholstery covering boat interiors, automotive applications, as well as industrial equipment.
Our operation has grown to 25 employees, an 18,000 square foot manufacturing facility with plenty of room for expansion, 20 industrial sewing machines and 10 heat sealing machines including hot-air, rotary, hot-wedge, and dialectric welding equipment.
Sharp’s regularly serves customers in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Wyoming, Colorado and has recently expanded into the California market.
